Philip Rubinfeld, MD, is a highly trained anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at New Jersey Pain Management with offices in Morristown and Rockaway. Board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Rubinfeld has spent more than 30 years helping patients tackle acute and chronic pain. He is a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice, one of only a few physicians in New Jersey to have achieved this qualification.
Dr. Rubinfeld is an expert in interventional techniques that precisely localize the origin of the patient’s pain and treat the pain at its source. He has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation as an effective method to treat patients who suffer from chronic pain as a result of failed neck or back surgery or from other debilitating chronic pain conditions. His goal is to reduce pain, improve function thereby returning the patient to a more active and satisfying lifestyle.
Dr. Rubinfeld completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers College, New Brunswick. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at Morristown Medical Center, in Morristown, New Jersey followed by a residency in anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital of Boston. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualifications in Pain Medicine and by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
